Today’s tip comes from Wolverhampton where a horse, who finished extremely strongly last time out, has an extra furlong to reel her rivals in today. HI SPEC ran a fantastic race over a mile last month and was gathering real pace at the end so today’s trip of 9f could be perfect for her to record a third career win. Andrea Atenzi claims 3lbs, dropping the horse to a mark lower than her last win so the time could be right to cash in on this experienced campaigner.

Today’s tip comes from Carlisle where a horse who fell at the first in the Grand National this year aims to show his true colours. Sue Smith’s HIMALAYAN TRAIL has great form on heavy ground and has impressed with his incredible stamina at home. Although he does not possess a real turn of pace, he should handle the testing conditions, which could be the undoing of most of his rivals.

Today’s tip comes from Newcastle where Tim Easterby looks to continue his stable’s rich vein of form. ZITENKA had been well treated for quite a while before he recorded a impressive victory at Wetherby last month. The stable had excuses for his two previous appearances (pulling up at Carlisle on both occasions) but with the yard in good form it would be wrong to ignore these attractive odds on a follow up today.

Today’s tip comes from Lingfield where another horse-jockey combination draws significant interest. Teamed with impressive apprentice Ryan Clark, LITHAAM returns to Lingfield for the first time since he won over today’s distance last year. The jockey has a great record aboard the horse (2 wins, 1 place from 3 runs) and his 7lb claim takes the horse 6lbs below its last winning mark. These factors make great appeal, especially at the double figure odds which are likely today.

Today’s tip comes from Newbury where a smart horse on the flat looks to open his account over hurdles. ERMINE SEA is potentially well treated now handicapping and his recent third on the flat at Ascot particularly caught the eye. This was not an isolated piece of form however as he had already shown a bit of promise whilst with John Gosden. He has had three runs over hurdles, placing on each occasion and displaying enough ability to think he could be up to the task of defying today’s mark of 115.

Today’s tip comes from Lingfield where Steve Drowne bids to make it 4 wins from 4 runs on MR WILLIS. It often pays to take notice of horse-jockey parnterships which have yielded big payouts in the past and this opportunity looks perfect. The horse looks very well treated and his performance last time out suggested that 1m is well within his compass so it would be silly to ignore his claims today.

Today’s tip comes from Southwell where a prolific horse bids for a quick fire all weather hatrick. SHADOWS LENGTHEN has won 2 handicaps in the past week and has a real chance of completing the treble today. A double penalty makes things tougher but Easterby has partnered the horse with a smart apprentice in James Sullivan, who takes 7lbs off today. This means he is 1lb lower than his win LTO and that could make the difference today.

Today’s tip comes from Kempton where we give Paul Nicholls’ mount a chance to redeem himself after last month’s disappointment. MEANUS DANDY runs in the 14:00, following up on his uninspiring 4th at Chepstow, when he was an odds on debutant. Paul Nicholls had so many odds on horses turned over that weekend, so something wasn’t right. This horse has had 4 consecutive wins in pointers and there’s definitely some ability there. Whispers from the stable suggest that a big run is expected.

Today’s tip comes from Huntingdon where KNIGHT LEGEND represents some value against some much older exposed types. Previously a good chaser in Ireland, he has a noteworthy 3rd against Kauto Star to his name. He has since been taken on by Phillip Hobbs in hope of making waves this side of the water. He made his debut just over 3 weeks ago in a decent listed chase and, despite making numerous errors that day, still finished an encouraging 5th. This is an easier race and the handicapper has potentially provided him with an opening to make it second time lucky. Also, Hobbs has chosen a talented apprentice in Giles Hawkins, who claims 7lbs today.
