Today’s tip comes from Lingfield where DUPLICITY looks to complete a listed race double. The horse has improved with each of first three starts (beat subsequent triple scorer in soft-ground Listed event at Newbury in July) and not far off that form in French Group 3 (testing ground) on final start; yard took this in 2008 with Paco Boy and, although conceding weight all round, is a very interesting runner back up in distance.

Today’s tip comes from Cheltenham where BARIZAN looks huge value to finish in front in the Triumph Hurdle. This horse has plenty of hurdling experience and is no stranger to getting his nose in front, dotting up an impressive four timer last year. Gave a good account of himself here in November but the ground didn’t suit. Today’s return to better ground will aid his chances and the odds are very confusing considering we have heard there are no problems with the horse.

Today’s tip comes from Southwell where THOUGHTSOFSTARDOM is a good bet to run into the places (at least) at big odds. Been pretty inconsistent of late but he gets sent out racing as much as Frank Lampard has matches for Chelsea. Been sliding down the weights and now, with a 7lb claimer, looks in with a good chance. Has won off this sort of mark before and the odds are surely too long for him under these circumstances.

Today’s tip comes from Kempton where SPRUCE is thrown into listed company after completing a handicap 4 timer. The standard of the handipcaps has admitedly been pretty weak but then again, so is tonight’s field. The horse has been rapidly improving and posting big winning margins. Jimmy Quinn has recently spoken of the horse’s quality and it’s a positive that he takes the ride again tonight. Definitely worth a bet at he odds.

Today’s tip comes from Cheltenham where BINOCULAR looks a good bet for the Champion Hurdle. Last seen landing the spoils at Sandown as a heavily backed favourite. Although the margin of victory was a bit tight and the race was weak, McCoy never had to fully extend him. He has always been one of our favourites and Tony McCoy also has a great affiliation with the horse. The horse has always shown bags of ability throughout his career and despite recent health problems, the Henderson stable is confident of him running a big race.

Today’s tip comes from Stratford where SUPER KENNY makes his hurdling debut for Nicky Henderson. A smart performer on the flat over in France, he’s been successful over 9f. He has missed a couple of intended engagements this term but he was fancied for the Triumph prior to his setbacks and had clearly shown plenty of ability at home. Fascinating to see how he gets on.

Today’s tip comes from Towcester where last year’s winner SPIDER BOY could be reignited by the return to this event. He’s had 6 runs since his win here last March, finishing 3rd twice. Most of these races have been in a higher class, LTO finishing 32 lengths behind Punjabi. He has slipped to a mark 6lb lighter than the win last year and partnered by the same 7lb claimer, he could return at big odds today.

Today’s tip comes from Chepstow where Robert Alner brings CASHEL BLUE back to the course in the hope of repeating last year’s success in the same race. Last year he won off a 3lb higher mark than today, again on good to soft ground. Soundly beaten all four subsequent outings but two of those have been in chases and the other two, over hurdles. All were in very testing ground and in higher grade. The stable is running very well and he’s well in with a chance today.

Today’s tip comes from Leicester where an ex Jonjo O’Neill trained horse has been enjoying a recent ressurgence. THE KING OF ANGELS is a useful handicap chaser on his day, not seen under Rules since an excellent second in Summer National in June. Has since left Jonjo O’Neill, and in the frame both starts in points since. Looks well in the weights today and should get involved.
