Today’s tip comes from Lingfield where Jamie Osborne bloods a hot prospect out of Holy Roman Emperor. FIFTH COMMANDMENT makes her debut today and is in with a real shout on the strength of her pedigree. Holy Roman Emperor’s 2-y-o are performing very well so far, with 4 either winning or placing on their debut runs. Eddie Ahern is booked today and he has a fantastic success rate at this course with 2-y-o runners.

Today’s tip comes from Brighton where the Stan Moore trained FOUR KICKS returns to a course where he ran well LTO. Last seen posting a respectable fourth in a stiff 1m here last week. Met some big trouble in running but still ran on to claim fourth. Drop down in trip is believed to be a positive and looks well handicapped in a race which won’t take much winning.

Today’s tip comes from Ascot where a double Group 2 winner drops down into Group 3 company, looking to score another presitigous win. Despite conceding weight all round, ASKAR TAU has great pedigree and notched up two back to back succeses when last seen. Although the ground is a little slower than he’d like, the stable speak very highly of his ability and if resuming at the same level as he left off, he will pose a huge danger today.

Today’s tip comes from Nottingham where the unexposed SULIS MINERVA receives weight all round for taking on the opposite sex. Last seen chasing home Free For All at Folkestone recently and this race has already thrown up a few winners who were behind our selection that day. There’s a case for today’s 5f perhaps being more suitable for her and she is looking well weighted to at least have a big say in the finish.

Today’s tip comes from Towcester where the powerful David Pipe yard send out HELEN WOOD, aiming for her first success since 2007. Finished an extremely distant second LTO at Fontwell but had a clean round. Has slipped to a mark 2lbs lower than her last win and the talented Hadden Frost takes off a further 3lbs. She will handle the ground and, as the stable’s only runner today, you can’t rule her out, even at double figure odds.

Today’s tip comes from Wetherby where Caroline Bailey sends out her trusted campaigner KILLARD POINT hoping to dominate a small field. Good win-run ratio as pointer and notched fifth success over regulation fences when gamely getting the better of 4lb lower mark over C&D latest. Andrew Thornton knows the horse well, having won on him before, and the stable is also in great form.

Today’s tip comes from Ripon where the potentially well treated SANDS CROONER looks to exploit a mark 9lbs lower than his last win. Really lost his way last year after a good win on fast ground at Warwick but looked impressive enough on his reappearance LTO at Thirsk. He was the victim of a bad draw and never had a clear run that day. Armed with a better draw today and a 1lb drop in the weights, he could be primed for a big run at good odds.

Today’s tip comes from Punchestown where the talented KANGAROO COURT looks a good proposition if his jumping holds up. Has looked a very smart horse from his second race when he blitzed the field in a novices hurdle at Doncaster. Went on to record some impressive wins over both hurdles and fences. Has lost his way of late and has been a victim of some fairly catastophic jumping errors but if he has a good round today, he’ll be more than a match for the other horses in this race.

Today’s tip comes from Beverley where Mark Johnston gives a promising newcomer, ONE MORE TICO, his racecourse debut. It traditionally pays to side with Johnston when he bloods these 3-y-o runners. His figures read 27% win rate with his 3 year olds in 2010 (45 wins from 146 runs), and a further 46 of those scooped the places. The horse has been training well and impressing at home. Hopefully the penny will drop early on in his first race.

Today’s tip comes from Perth where STORYMAKER looks to be progressing nicely of late. You need to read between the lines of bare results to see the claim in this one but posted two promising second placed finishes before an unlucky race LTO. Travelling well in the latter stages of the race, he was about to put a challenge in when he hit 4 out and never recovered. Dropped 1lb for that last run he looks weighted to get involved today with trip and ground not a problem at all.
