Today’s tip comes from Kempton where the quirky WIGRAM’S TURN tries a trip for the first time which should suit his racing style. This Andrew Balding trained gelding has a good record here at 7f and usually in frame come the end of races. Plenty to like about last two efforts (after getting badly hampered latest) and perhaps surprising given his exaggerated hold-up run style he hasn’t tried this trip before.

Today’s tip comes from Windsor where the lightly races EVERBODY KNOWS is back on the track after disappointing as favourite last year. Blew up in 1m Doncaster handicap last June but form of gutsy front-running win off 3lb lower over C&D last May has worked out well. Dane O’Neill is on board and conditions look prime for a big run if the horse is in good heart.

Today’s tip comes from Newbury where the Brian Meehan trained ARCANO has an unbeaten record to defend. Quickly made up into leading 6f 2yo last summer, pipping subsequent Gimcrack winner Showcasing at Newbury on debut and then quickening up well to take July Stakes and Prix Morny in good times. Upped in trip today but looks strong enough to stay the distance and already has wins on good ground.

Today’s tip comes from Ayr where previous Grade 2 winner DEGAS ART looks to confirm the resurgent form he’s displayed at home. A past winner off marks of 140+, he gets in today at 120 with a 3lb claimer on board. He has beaten some big horses in his day, notbably Katchit on his hurldes debut. Has had his share of injuries which have hampered his performances off and on the course but word is that he is in good heart for today and should run a big race off this mark.

Today’s tip comes from Newmarket where John Dunlop’s talented colt aims to continue his progression into a first class race horse. ELUSIVE PIMPERNEL was right up there amongst the best of his generation last season and is expected to confirm Doncaster form with Dancing David and Morana. Despite John Dunlop still looking for his first win of the season, this horse has been on an upward curve since winning a red hot maiden here on his debut. This promise was confirmed with a fine effort when second in Racing Post Trophy and should be a cut above the others today.

Today’s tip comes from Kempton where CASTLEBURG drops down in class and in trip in a bid to follow up on her recent success at Lingfield. She has been racing with great credit in class 5 contests of late, dead heating LTO at Lingfield following a spate of impressive places previously. George Baker takes the ride and he knows the track well. Should prove classier than her rivals today.

Today’s tip comes from Yarmouth where Stoute and Moore look to add to their illustrious list of promising newcomers with RULE OF NATURE. She is a well-bred filly who showed inexperience in her first race but still ran well enough to grasp second place. Made no mistake here next time landing the spoils over 6f. Return to 7f will suit and she looks well treated ahead of her handicap debut.

Today’s tip comes Windsor where KATEHARI looks a decent prospect for Andrew Balding. Improved on win in C&D fast-ground maiden last August when third in Goodwood nursery on final start. That represents some very solid form in the context of this race and should prove a tough proposition for her rivals today.

Today’s tip comes from Southwell where the Ford stable sends out BATTLE STATIONS and a big run is expected. Only seen twice since breaking duck in 2m4f Aintree novice hurdle back in June 2008 but was respectable fifth on recent return to action at Chepstow. He has reportedly had his problems but word is that these have been adressed and the horse is ready to perform. Robert Thornton booked as well, which is a big positive.
