Today’s tip comes from Pontefract where THEOLA looks primed to go close over today’s longer trip. Ended last season on a roll, beating Mith Hill over this trip at York after scoring over slightly shorter round here, and made encouraging start to current campaign when sixth of 15 over 2m at Ascot last month, one place behind subsequent winner Perfect Shot. Today’s claimer takes her to only 1lb higher than her last winning mark and conditions look good for her to gain a further success.

Today’s tip comes from Newmarket where ILLUSTRIOUS PRINCE steps into handicap company for the first time. Fresh from a professional win LTO at Lingfield, he gets in today off what looks like a fair mark. There will be a good pace on today and he should be able to track the leaders before pouncing in he final furlong. A second place at this course in his penultimate race also provides encouragement.

Today’s tip comes from Musselburgh where a smart new runner from the Richard Fahey stable. POLAR KITE made a pleasing debut over 6f at Haydock. He finished very strongly that day and will relish the step up in trip. The stable is in good form at the minute and Fahey has highlighted this horse as one to watch.

Today’s tip comes from Ascot where the John Dunlop trained BERLING looks to continue his upward curve. Built on his promising debut, over an inadaquate trip at Goodwood, to land a 6 runner handicap at Folkestone. That was over 10f and an increase to 11f brought further improvement, helping him to score in a great race LTO at Newbury. He swerved violently in the home straight but still had enough talent to recover and win very cosily. Today’s increase to 12f is expected to bring further improvement and we could see this horse go on to achieve even bigger things.

Today’s tip comes from Ascot where Michael Stoute’s STRAWBERRYDAIQUIRI looks to add another big race to her already glittering career. Has looked extremely progressive so far and despite coming up short in a Group 1, she returned to form by driving to victory at Newmarket in the Group 3 Dahlia Stakes. When in good health she oozes class and has champion jockey Ryan Moore to guide her home.

Today’s tip comes from Ascot where another Australian raider looks to triumph again in this race. NICCONI has won all five runs at up to five and a half furlongs and beat subsequent Group 1 winners Wanted and Starspangledbanner in 5f Lightning Stakes at Flemington in January. Should expose som frailties in the British 5f contingent.

Today’s tip comes from Windsor where IMPRIMIS TAGULA looks to follow up on his recent win at Newmarket. No doubting he is better on AW, the scene of 10 of his 11 wins, but he won quite cosily LTO at Newmarket on turf and should be capable of following up tonight. The 3lb rise shouldn’t cause too many problems.

Today’s tip comes from Salisbury where the clearly progressive FEATHERED CROWN gives 12f a try. Despite being beaten with the final furlong at a shorter trip LTO, he has previously shown signs of needing a bit further. He came unstuck at 14f so this trip of 12f could coax even further improvement from him.

Today’s tip comes from Leicester where Frankie Dettori travels up from York to partner Godolphin debutant SAHAFH. This filly is an expensive purchase and half sister to a number of winners in America. With Dettori making the trip, it’s obvious she is held in good regard. There are not any horses in this field who represent a big concern and we could be onto something smart here.

Today’s tip comes from Aintree where ENTERTAIN ME goes back into a handicap at a ridiculous price. Horses at 20/1 usually have huge gaps in their form but this talented mare is in great heart. Despite a 6th place finish LTO over an inadaquate trip, she won a maiden hurdle by 5l on her penultimate start. She has a 10lb claimer on board making his debut and that obviously contributes to the odds but the horse looks extremely well weighted and should find the trip/ground much to her liking.
