Today’s tip comes from Doncaster where Sir Michael Stoute takes only one horse. MUTANAKER stepped up on a lacklustre debut performance when third at Leicester recently and there should be a lot more to come from him. Tadgh O’Shea takes the reigns and he is on a good run of late.

Today’s tip comes from Goodwood where Henry Cecil brings a Group 1 contender to mix it in Group 3 class. It is hard to see past JACQUELINE QUEST following her runners-up effort in the 1000 Guineas and her bronze medal in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot last month. First passed the post at Newmarket before being disqualified and placed second, it is hard to argue that she doesn’t deserve her day in the sun and she clearly sets the standard in a race that has been dominated by three-year-olds in recent years.

Today’s tip comes from Goodwood where FLYING CLOUD looks well weighted against her rivals. She had to settle for second best behind Chinese White in the Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes over 1m2f at the Curragh last month but that was a solid effort nonetheless and, with this trip likely to suit, she has a big chance this afternoon. On official ratings she has 8lb in hand over the next best rated horse, which could prove very important.

Today’s tip comes from Sandown where Godolphin blood their expensive new recruit. BORUG cost 550,000 US dollars last September and is tipped to run well first time out. A half-brother to Arc winner Marienbard, he has an impressive pedigree and could have found himself an ideal opening today.

Today’s tip comes from Goodwood where AIR CHIEF MARSHALL comes here in very good form. After his maiden win at Gowran last spring, the horse endured a rocky spell. This came to a spectacular close when he landed a contest at Dundalk, trotting up by 15 lengths. He followed up with a cosy success in a Group 3 at the Curragh and although he’s up in class again, the Irish raider looks on an upward curve and looks the one to beat here.

Today’s tip comes from Uttoxeter where STRONG COFFEE, despite a 7lb penalty for his Newton Abbott win, looks to double up. He had some very good form over fences a couple of years ago but then seemed to lose his way. The fitting of first-time blinkers did the trick last time and, with the headgear on again today, he can continue his ressurgence.

Today’s tip comes from Salisbury where THE CONFESSOR looks well treated on his handicap debut. He scored comfortably on his seasonal reappearance and the form is working out well, with five that finished behind him winning since. Dane O’Neill is a great jockey for front running horses and that should really help today.

Today’s tip comes from Ascot where BREAKHEART aims to make it three wins from four starts this year. He shaped encouragingly over 1m 2f at Newmarket earlier this month while trainer, Andrew Balding, is looking to make it two wins in three attempts at this race having landed it in 2008 with Buccellati. The 10f trip looks set to be a positive again considering his finishing style over the same distance LTO.

Today’s tip comes from Sandown where NEZHENKA shoulders top weight on her handicap debut. From a top stable, she won her maiden in great style LTO at Catterick, stretching away in the final furlong. Today’s longer trip should assist and the small field will ensure she is in the shakeup at very good odds.
