Today’s tip comes from Ffos Las where OSRIC looks the part against some ordinary looking rivals. Twice a winner over hurdles, Nicky Henderson’s gelding made a bright start to his chasing career when runner-up over this trip at Wetherby in October and he is sure to know a lot more about the game now.

Today’s tip comes from Newton Abbot where Tony Newcombe rolls out LOMITAAR after an extended break. The horse began his career running with great credit in bumpers, staying on late to place twice on testing ground. Inexperience really took its toll when he was introduced to hurdles and he was pulled up LTO at Taunton. Will be fresh after a long break though and the trainer has obviously been putting in some good work with the horse at home. Today’s tissue price of 80/1 is shortening by the minute and this looks very good each way value.

Today’s tip comes from Haydock where there is some value in opposing the hot favourite Punjabi in the 14:55. Since winning the Champion Hurdle he has disappointed on his last two appearances. With only 4 horses in the field it could pay to side with AFSOUN who has been performing really well for Nicky Henderson at home. He is a horse of tremendous talent and is in very good health at present, despite a fall on his reappearance. His prominent style suits small fields and 12/1 is a great price to be working with today.

Today’s tip comes from Leicester where one horse takes the eye based on the form of his maiden. He took a Hereford maiden in February in convincing style, leaving horses behind who have gone on to win and place in future races. He returned to action at Stratford last month but the trip was far too long and the ground was not as soft as he likes. The stable have high hopes for him today so, with trip and ground to suit, this horse looks tasty at a mouth watering 12/1.
