Today’s tip comes from Cheltenham where the manner of SHAKALAKABOOMBOOM’s 3m win at Taunton last time suggests he’s the one to be on. Although he’s up 6lb for his second successive victory over fences, he looks open to further improvement and could still be ahead of the handicapper.

Today’s tip comes from Cheltenham where, all things considered, SWAY looks the one to be on. Jonjo O’Neill’s ex-French recruit is improving with each run and carries a nice racing weight with her mares allowance.

Today’s tip comes from Cheltenham where TIME FOR RUPERT could simply prove too classy for these rivals. Streets ahead of these over hurdles, he was mightily impressive when striking on his chasing debut over an extended 2m4f here last month and, second behind Big Buck’s in last season’s World Hurdle, this longer trip certainly won’t cause any problems.

Today’s tip comes from Cheltenham where REBEL DU MAQUIS’ recent record suggests he is well up to landing this. Second in his first two starts over fences in France, he’s unbeaten over the bigger obstacles this season and should have the measure of his rivals today.

Today’s tip comes from Cheltenham where BARIZAN looks huge value to finish in front in the Triumph Hurdle. This horse has plenty of hurdling experience and is no stranger to getting his nose in front, dotting up an impressive four timer last year. Gave a good account of himself here in November but the ground didn’t suit. Today’s return to better ground will aid his chances and the odds are very confusing considering we have heard there are no problems with the horse.

Today’s tip comes from Cheltenham where BINOCULAR looks a good bet for the Champion Hurdle. Last seen landing the spoils at Sandown as a heavily backed favourite. Although the margin of victory was a bit tight and the race was weak, McCoy never had to fully extend him. He has always been one of our favourites and Tony McCoy also has a great affiliation with the horse. The horse has always shown bags of ability throughout his career and despite recent health problems, the Henderson stable is confident of him running a big race.

Today’s tip comes from Cheltenham where the impressive SONNY MULLEN tries his luck at handicapping for the first time. He has looked very pleasing in his first three races and handles a range of ground. He’s up in class today but if the margin of his debut win over a similar trip is anything to go by, that shouldn’t be a problem. He’s lightly raced and unexposed so it looks a promising opportunity.

Today’s tip comes from Cheltenham again where Nigel Twiston-Davies has talked up the chances of KHYBER KIM in the 14:20. Renowned as a very tricky horse, it’s difficult to know what to expect on the first run of the season but his trainer sounds very confident.
“If I told this horse that hard work never killed anyone he’d reply ‘but why take the chance?’”
“He keeps plenty for himself, but he comes into this race as fit as he has ever been. First time out every season is when he’s most likely to show his true worth and I’m expecting a big run.”
Having moved from Nicky Henderson to Twiston-Davies in the summer of 2008, Khyber Kim ran his best race first time out for the yard at Newbury last November, finishing a close second to Helens Vision in the Gerry Feilden Hurdle. The comments from his trainer are too ominous to be ignored and this horse can be got for an extremely attractive price.

Today’s tip comes from Cheltenham where Paddy Brennan partners a horse with an exceptional record at this course. BALLYFITZ hails from last years winning stable of Nigel Twiston Davies and has previously won over further than today’s 2m 4f, which bodes very well considering the energy sapping conditions at Cheltenham. He loves the course, with figures of U,1,2,1,1,2,P. Ran away with a novice chase here at the meeting last year and has proven on many occasions that he can handle a fast pace up the hill. It’s also a big field, something which he has thrived on in the past.

Today’s first tip comes from Newmarket in the big race where the ever reliable Eddie Ahern attempts to guide the previously consistant JUDGE THE MOMENT back to winning ways. Completed a hat-trick earlier on this season winning on the AW at Kempton and following up with two on the bounce at Ascot. Seems to have lost his way a little since but has been rested for almost 2 months and should come out guns blazing. Stamina should not be a problem as he is a winner over 2m 4f and if only the ground was a little bit faster would have ideal conditions..

Today’s second tip comes from Cheltenham where Emma Levelle’s KANGAROO COURT bids for his hattrick. Winner of 3 from 6 of his races already, Kangaroo Court runs for the second time this season in a field of only 4 horses. Looks like a very good opportunity to prove that he can handle the track, after disappointing in the Supreme Novices at the Festival. He has won since that poor run, with a very decent display of jumping at Lingfield and another decent win recently at Uttoxeter. Jack Doyle gets on well with the horse and takes the ride again tomorrow, with the ground in Kangaroo Court’s favour he should win this fairly easily.
