Today’s tip comes from Fontwell where SPANISH CRUISE is entitled to have more to offer today. He showed a likeable attitude when just getting up on his debut for the David Pipe over an extended 2m5f at Exeter almost one month ago and, with this extra yardage sure to suit, he will be fancied to defy a 10lb hike in the handicap.

Today’s tip comes from Hereford where TOGIAK looks the one to be on. Although he tackles hurdles for the first time in public, the stable have been impressed by his performances at home and he is sure to have been schooled very well. Considered good enough to run in Group company on the Flat, he cost connections 120,000 guineas last year and is expected to make a big impact.

Today’s tip comes from Towcester where the powerful David Pipe yard send out HELEN WOOD, aiming for her first success since 2007. Finished an extremely distant second LTO at Fontwell but had a clean round. Has slipped to a mark 2lbs lower than her last win and the talented Hadden Frost takes off a further 3lbs. She will handle the ground and, as the stable’s only runner today, you can’t rule her out, even at double figure odds.

Today’s tip comes from Kempton where the often imperious MADISON DU BERLAIS lines up against rivals who simply don’t measure up to the class and performances he has shown throughout his career. A cracking second place in the King George, only finding Kauto Star too good, shows he still retains plenty of ability. The odds today look favourable and the introduction of cheek pieces could prove a big positive.

Today’s tip comes from Kempton where the ever dependable WELL CHIEF bids to see off his younger rivals in a hotly contested chase. I’m a big believer in career place statistics and if you have information that the horse still performing well at home, you should always part with your money E/W if the odds are agreeable. This horse has finished in the top three places over jumps 19 times out of 22 starts (86%) in a career spanning over 9 years. He doesn’t like finishing out of the frame and at odds of 5/1, he provides great value in an 8 horse field.
