This veteran grey was at the peak of his game around the turn of the year, following up a narrow Warwick win with a runaway success over this C&D. He’s up 6lb in the ratings following that latest triumph but seems to handle any ground and can complete the hat-trick.

Today’s tip comes from Lingfield where SHADED EDGE has dropped to his last winning mark and his trainer has reported some good form at home. He’s got some good placed efforts to his name on this course, as well as some fairly impressive turf wins. He’s been running fairly consistently of late and his performance wasn’t helped by being in the rear of the field (the horse prefers to be ridden prominently). Martin Dwyer gets a good tune out of the horse and a big run is expected today.
