Today’s tip comes from Ascot where Gary Moore hopes to see one of his exciting newcomers beat today’s competition out of sight. It would be very foolish to overlook MEGASTAR on his hurdling debut. The five-year-old won two of his four starts in bumpers last term, most notably in Grade 2 company at Aintree, and he finished a creditable fifth at the Cheltenham Festival despite endless traffic problems. Form of that level puts him well ahead of his rivals today.

Today’s tip comes from Kempton where CASTLEBURG drops down in class and in trip in a bid to follow up on her recent success at Lingfield. She has been racing with great credit in class 5 contests of late, dead heating LTO at Lingfield following a spate of impressive places previously. George Baker takes the ride and he knows the track well. Should prove classier than her rivals today.

Today’s tip comes from Folkestone where Gary Moore looks to eek a bit more prize mney out of seasoned campaigner ROCKER. Conditions will suit with the horse showing good form on this type of ground. George Baker is in the saddle and has an impressive record on the horse (1-2). He is running off a mark of 75, only 1lb higher than his last win. He’s had a bit of a break and if Moore has him fit, he could easily make the frame.

Today’s tip comes from Lingfield where CHARLIE SMIRKE arrives in good form and with a great chance of victory. An impressive winner over C&D last month, he posted a respectable 4th place finish in an apprentice handicap LTO. The jockey showed a bit of inexperience and didn’t grasp hold of the race when it was there for the taking. Under a more forceful ride today, the horse should finish in front.
