Today’s tip comes from Ascot where it will be no surprise if REDFORD takes the return to Group company in his stride. David Nicholl’s horse showed star quality to win the Ayr Gold Cup and the 7f totesport here the last twice; gone well for Richard Hughes the twice he’s ridden him and looks well up to winning in Group company, especially in a big field like this.

Today’s tip comes from Kempton where D’URBERVILLE goes back up in trip after coming up just short over a mile. This horse goes well on the all-weather and looks worth siding with having produced a cracking effort when third over a mile at Lingfield last time. A stiffer test clearly suits him better and he looks to have a fair amount going for him tonight.

Today’s tip comes from Haydock where BATED BREATH should continue his upward curve. Winner of his first two career starts, this colt out of Dansili looks to be giving the handicapper a headache. Has proved he is comfortable on the ground and at the distance and the opposition don’t look anything special. It’s worth following him while he is in such rude health.

Today’s tip comes from Kempton where odds on favourite DEVER DREAM still looks good value. Winner of her last two starts, today’s mark of 78 looks very lenient. Running off 72 at Lingfield LTO she won by 10 lengths. This is the same grade and Richard Hughes has a good record on favourites. His tactical knowledge should ensure the horse gives the best account of herself.

Today’s tip comes from Haydock where Richard Hannon looks to add another race to this season’s already glowing portfolio. GENE AUTRY has looked a likeable horse in his career starts to date. Hannon has a pretty high opinion of this lightly-race Zavata colt, who opened his account on the last of three maiden starts in 2009. LTO he was touched off in a pacey affair at Warwick but the ground was unsuitable. Back on firmer ground today he should be able to defy a 4lb hike in the weights and justify favouritism.

Today’s tip comes from Lingfield where DUPLICITY looks to complete a listed race double. The horse has improved with each of first three starts (beat subsequent triple scorer in soft-ground Listed event at Newbury in July) and not far off that form in French Group 3 (testing ground) on final start; yard took this in 2008 with Paco Boy and, although conceding weight all round, is a very interesting runner back up in distance.
